ইসলামী বিশ্বকোষ
ইসলামী বিশ্বকোষ হলো ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন বাংলাদেশ থেকে প্রকাশিত বিশ্বকোষের গ্রন্থ। এটিতে ইসলাম সম্পর্কিত বিভিন্নমুখী জ্ঞানের ভান্ডার রয়েছে। ইসলামের ব্যাপক বিষয় ইসলামি বিশ্বকোষের অন্তর্ভুক্ত। এটি ২৫ খণ্ডের একটি সংক্ষিপ্ত অর্থবহ সংস্করণ। এই বিশ্বকোষ প্রকল্পের শীর্ষস্থানীয় প্রতিষ্ঠাতা ছিলেন বাংলাদেশী শিক্ষাবিদ এবং পণ্ডিত আবদুল হক ফরিদী।

ইতিহাস
বাংলাদেশে প্রথম ইসলামী বিশ্বকোষের প্রণয়নের উদ্যোগ গ্রহণ করেন বাংলা একাডেমী। ডাঃ মুহাম্মদ শহীদুল্লাহ কিছু সময়ের জন্য এই প্রকল্পের সম্পাদক হিসাবে দায়িত্ব পালন করেছিলেন। ১৯৫৮ সালে বাংলা একাডেমী লাইডেন হতে প্রকাশিত "শর্টার এনসাইক্লোপিডিয়া অফ ইসলাম" শীর্ষক ইসলামি বিশ্বকোষের অনুবাদের সিদ্ধান্ত গ্রহণ করে। পরবর্তীতে তা বিভিন্ন কারণে ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন বাংলাদেশ এর কাছে তুলে দেয়। যেটি আরো সম্পাদনা করে প্রকাশ করা হয়।

একাত্তরে বাংলাদেশ স্বাধীন হওয়ার পর, প্রকাশিত তিনটি বিশেষায়িত বিশ্বকোষের একটি ছিল এটি। আ ফ ম খালিদ হোসেন বিশ্বকোষের দ্বিতীয় সংস্করণের ৩ থেকে ৯ খণ্ড পর্যন্ত সম্পাদনা করেছেন।
Islamic encyclopedia
Islamic Encyclopedia is an encyclopedia book published by Islamic Foundation Bangladesh. It contains a wealth of knowledge about Islam. Extensive topics in Islam are included in the Islamic encyclopedia. This is a short meaningful version of 25 volumes. The top founder of this encyclopedia project was Bangladeshi academician and scholar Abdul Haq Faridi.
History
The Bangla Academy took the initiative to prepare the first Islamic encyclopedia in Bangladesh. Dr. Muhammad Shahidullah was the editor of this project for some time. In 1956, the Bangla Academy decided to translate an Islamic encyclopedia entitled "Shorter Encyclopedia of Islam" published by Leiden. Later it was handed over to Islamic Foundation Bangladesh for various reasons. Which is published by further editing.
It was one of the three specialized encyclopedias published after Bangladesh became independent in 1971. AFM Khalid Hossain has edited 3 to 9 volumes of the second edition of the encyclopedia.
